About the Role: Asset Protection Representative

Responsibilities

Day to day, you’ll be the eyes and ears of the store — using surveillance technology, investigative skills, and direct intervention to keep the store safe and minimize shrink. Your responsibilities span from deterrence and detection through to documentation and collaboration with law enforcement, making this a well-rounded and dynamic role in retail loss prevention.

  • Deter and prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations by maintaining a visible and professional in-store presence
  • Apprehend offenders safely and lawfully, following all company protocols and provincial legal procedures
  • Conduct investigations — both internal and external — gathering and analyzing evidence to support case outcomes
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing statements and documentation
  • Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and develop effective theft prevention strategies
  • Monitor CCTV and surveillance tools to detect suspicious activity and respond appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with company security standards, policies, and provincial regulations
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, covering a variety of shifts in a high-volume grocery and pharmacy environment

Requirements / Skills
