Supervisor – UPS – Earth City, MO
UPS is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead and develop a team of Package Handlers in Earth City, Missouri. In this role, you will ensure safety, productivity, and accuracy across all team activities. As a key leader, you will be responsible for holding your workgroups accountable for maintaining high standards in performance, communication, and teamwork. About the Role
The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that Package Handlers follow safety guidelines and that department resources are optimized for maximum productivity. In this role, you will be tasked with training and coaching team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Your duties include leading employee development initiatives, conducting regular evaluations, and providing proactive coaching to support continuous growth and improvement.
Additionally, you will ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards, while focusing on improving department efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. This position requires flexibility in working shifts, effective resource management, and clear communication with personnel at all levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Package Handlers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and corporate policies.
- Manage department resources to ensure optimal productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented environment that encourages proactive communication and inter-departmental cooperation.
- Implement employee development plans and conduct regular evaluations to support growth.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and UPS safety policies.
Basic Qualifications
UPS requires the following basic qualifications for the Supervisor role:
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
UPS prefers candidates who also possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent.
- Previous management experience in a warehouse environment.
