Loader/Unloader PM – UPS – Charlottetown, PE

UPS is looking for a Loader/Unloader (PM shift) to join their operations team in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. This is a hands-on, physical role that keeps packages moving through one of the world’s most recognized logistics networks — and it’s a solid entry point into the warehousing and shipping industry.

About the Role: Loader/Unloader PM

At its core, this position is about keeping packages moving accurately and safely. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading UPS packages into trailers or package cars, along with shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking throughout your shift. Heavy machinery may also be used to complete certain tasks.

Success in this role depends on following UPS package handling methods precisely and maintaining a reliable attendance record. You’ll be working as part of a team in a structured warehouse environment where safety protocols and attention to detail matter throughout every shift.

Responsibilities

Day to day, this role centres on the physical movement and handling of packages within a busy UPS facility. Every task is an important link in the delivery chain, and doing the job well keeps customers and operations on schedule.

• Load and unload UPS packages into trailers or package cars efficiently and safely
• Execute UPS-approved package handling methods as trained
• Scan, sort, and stock packages accurately throughout the shift
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as required
• Operate heavy machinery where applicable to support warehouse tasks
• Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment

Requirements / Skills

The right candidate is physically capable, reliable, and comfortable working in a structured warehouse setting. Attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures are essential in this role. Prior warehouse experience is an asset, though not required.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./32 kgs. — a core physical demand of the position
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate sorting
• Availability Monday to Friday between 5pm and 8pm is required
• Flexibility to work varying shift times of 3–5 hours per day based on package volumes
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required
• Warehouse experience is preferred
