About the Role: Stockperson/Cartpusher
As a Stockperson/Cartpusher, your day-to-day work centres on cart retrieval and management, responding to customer and store needs, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment. You’ll collect shopping carts from cart corrals, parking lots, and the store perimeter, returning them safely to designated storage areas using Walmart-approved procedures. You’ll also respond to requests from registers and the Customer Service desk, assist with carry-outs and carry-ins, and verify receipts when needed.
Safety is a big part of this job. You’ll be expected to follow all safety and emergency protocols — including hazardous communication guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and bloodborne pathogen standards. Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment such as steel-toed footwear and a reflective vest is required. The role also involves occasional cleaning and maintenance duties, including restrooms, along with completing required equipment inspections before use.

Responsibilities
This role keeps the store running from the outside in — from the parking lot to the checkout lanes. A Stockperson/Cartpusher at Walmart is expected to stay active, follow procedures carefully, and interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner throughout every shift.
- Collect and return shopping carts from cart corrals, parking lots, and the store perimeter using Walmart-approved procedures, and ensure required logs are completed accurately
- Respond to customer and store requests promptly, including assisting with carry-outs and carry-ins at all registers and the Customer Service desk
- Verify receipts for proof of purchase when required as part of customer service operations
- Maintain clean facilities including restrooms, following established guidelines for chemical handling, disposal procedures, and safe use of power equipment
- Complete equipment inspections before use and maintain required logs as per store procedures
- Follow all safety protocols including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines
