About the Role: Senior Account Executive

This role puts you at the centre of client-side and agency relationships in Canada’s automotive, financial services, and telco sectors. You’ll leverage your background in digital advertising sales to identify and develop new business opportunities, deepen existing partnerships, and build a well-managed pipeline from prospecting through to deal close. You’ll work with major Canadian advertisers and their agencies, applying a solutions-focused, consultative sales methodology to match each client’s business goals with the right Amazon Ads offerings.

Benefits and Salary

This position offers a base salary range of $132,200 to $198,200 CAD annually for the Toronto location. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and sales incentives where applicable. Final compensation reflects experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional wellness resources.

Responsibilities

In this role, every day involves building and nurturing relationships with major Canadian advertisers and ad agencies across the automotive, financial services, and telco verticals. You’ll be responsible for the full sales cycle — from identifying opportunities to closing deals — while acting as a trusted strategic partner to your client base.

  • Drive revenue growth by exceeding sales targets through a consultative, solutions-focused approach tailored to each client’s business objectives
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline with rigorous tracking and disciplined deal execution across the full sales cycle
  • Build and maintain strong client-side and agency relationships, including engagement with senior-level stakeholders
  • Sell a broad range of Amazon Ads solutions, including media placements and ad tech offerings, to large Canadian advertisers
  • Act as a strategic partner to assigned brands, understanding their goals and aligning Amazon’s advertising capabilities to deliver measurable results
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams across analytics, ad tech, creative, and leadership to bring best-in-class solutions to clients
  • Apply analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance, identify growth opportunities, and communicate insights effectively to clients

Requirements / Skills

Amazon is looking for someone who combines deep digital advertising expertise with strong relationship-building instincts and a data-informed sales mindset. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in digital media ad sales and is comfortable navigating complex organizations at the senior level.

  • 5+ years of digital media ad sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to exceed targets using a consultative approach
  • Experience in stakeholder management and communication, including working with senior decision-makers
  • Pipeline development skills with a strong focus on generating new opportunities and executing deals efficiently
  • 7+ years of technology-related sales or business development experience (preferred)
  • 4+ years selling programmatic or data-driven ad products or platforms (preferred)
