About the Role: Produce Stocker

The Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada is responsible for maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and organized produce department. Day to day, this means stocking shelves, rotating products, removing expired items, and ensuring all merchandise is correctly priced and signed. You’ll also set displays and flex modulars to keep the department looking its best while meeting food safety and cold chain standards.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at a minimum rate of $18.70 per hour. Responsibilities

The Produce Stocker role covers a range of daily tasks centred on product quality, department organization, and customer-ready presentation. From opening checks to end-of-shift recovery, these responsibilities keep the produce section running at a high standard throughout every shift.

• Maintain department organization by keeping the produce area clean, neatly zoned, and ready for customers at all times
• Rotate stock and check freshness regularly, removing expired or low-quality items to uphold product standards
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage across all produce items, following proper procedures for markdowns, markups, clearance, and labelling
• Follow food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature checks, thermometer use, correct food handling, and sell-by date compliance
• Stock and downtstock merchandise as needed, applying product protection where required and setting modulars and shelf caps to keep shelves full
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment throughout the shift
• Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support consistent store operations
• Manage physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
