Walmart’s store on Saanich Road in Victoria, BC is hiring a Produce Stocker (Overnight) to join their in-store team. This is a Regular/Permanent position suited for someone who takes pride in keeping shelves stocked, fresh, and ready for customers — even while most of the city is asleep.

Working overnight in the produce department means you’ll play a direct role in making sure customers find what they need every morning when the store opens. From rotating stock and checking expiry dates to maintaining proper food safety standards, this role is hands-on and keeps you moving throughout your shift.

About the Role: Produce Stocker Overnight

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, your main focus is keeping the produce section fully stocked, properly zoned, and compliant with food safety and cold chain requirements. You’ll be responsible for making sure merchandise is correctly signed and priced, and that the department is customer-ready by the time the store opens.

This role requires attention to detail and a solid understanding of food handling procedures, including temperature recording, thermometer calibrations, and product rotation. You’ll also follow Walmart’s Health and Safety guidelines and support the broader store team in delivering a consistent shopping experience.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.70 per hour. Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in this role centres on keeping the produce department stocked, organized, and compliant with Walmart’s standards. From zoning the department to following strict food safety protocols, every task contributes to a clean, well-stocked store that customers can count on.

• Zone the department to maintain an organized, customer-friendly produce section
• Rotate stock and check for expired or near-expiry products
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced throughout the department
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and proper product rotation
• Follow food safety and handling procedures, including sanitation and cleaning protocols
• Process ordering, clearance, and markdowns according to proper procedures, including signing, flagging, pricing, and labelling
• Ensure the department is fully stocked and ready for business at all times
• Stock merchandise, downstock where applicable, apply product protection when required, and set modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times

Requirements / Skills
