Walmart Canada’s Yorkton location is looking for a People Lead to join their store leadership team. About the Role: People Lead

In this role, you’ll take the lead on associate recruitment, hiring, staffing, and succession planning, while also guiding managers on HR programs and initiatives. You’ll develop and implement HR action plans by working collaboratively with business partners, analyzing data, and continuously monitoring progress to drive operational improvements. A significant part of the role involves advocating for associates by modelling Walmart’s core values and ensuring that excellence and respect are embedded in everyday routines and communications.

You’ll also play a key role in digital innovation — supporting the adoption of new technologies and helping associates adapt to evolving ways of working. Whether it’s building partnerships with key stakeholders, carrying out business processes, or applying up-to-date HR expertise to action planning, this role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Compliance with company policies and upholding standards of ethics and integrity are central to everything you’ll do.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this People Lead position starts at $18.60 per hour. Responsibilities

• Assist leadership with associate recruitment, hiring, staffing, development, succession planning, scheduling, attendance, and performance needs
• Develop and implement HR practices and action plans by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and business partners to meet operational needs
• Analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and monitor the progress of HR strategies and initiatives
• Advocate for associates by modelling Walmart’s core values and fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and integrity
• Champion digital adoption by promoting the use of technology services and digital solutions among associates and management
• Build stakeholder relationships to support business solutions, identify needs, and capitalize on process improvement opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, the Open Door Policy, and standards of ethics and integrity across all business practices
• Apply HR expertise to the development, execution, and continuous improvement of business action plans
