Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be an essential part of the Calgary Gateway sorting operation. From the moment packages arrive to the moment they’re loaded onto vehicles, your work directly impacts UPS’s ability to deliver on time. Here’s what a typical shift looks like:

  • Load and unload UPS packages from trailers and package cars efficiently and safely
  • Sort and scan packages to ensure they’re routed to the correct destinations
  • Ship and receive incoming and outgoing freight according to UPS procedures
  • Stock packages in the appropriate staging areas within the warehouse
  • Learn and apply UPS’s official package handling methods to minimize damage and improve accuracy
  • Operate heavy machinery as required to complete warehouse tasks
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall facility operations

Requirements / Skills
