Package Handler – UPS – Caledon, ON

About the Role: Package Handler

As a Package Handler at UPS Caledon, you’ll be working Monday to Friday on an evening shift that typically runs between 3–5 hours per day. Your shift will generally start between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM and wrap up between 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM, depending on operational needs. You’ll be expected to work up to 25 hours per week and maintain full availability across all five workdays.

The work takes place inside a fast-paced warehouse setting, including inside truck trailers and delivery vehicles. You’ll need to be comfortable with physically demanding tasks, changing temperatures, and working efficiently to meet sorting and loading targets. Flexibility is key, as start and finish times may shift based on volume.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at a pay rate of $18.15 per hour, with automatic pay progression under the Union Collective Agreement — reaching a top rate of $30.11 per hour after 48 months. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, a Package Handler at UPS keeps the warehouse running by moving, sorting, and organizing packages with speed and accuracy. Each task plays a direct role in ensuring customers receive their shipments on time, making this position a critical part of the UPS delivery network.

• Load and unload packages into UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Sort and stock packages accurately based on postal codes
• Learn and execute company-established package handling methods to maintain safety and efficiency
• Work inside truck trailers and delivery vehicles as required
• Adapt to varying shift times based on operational demand while maintaining reliability

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for candidates who are physically capable, dependable, and ready to commit to consistent evening availability. Prior warehouse experience is an asset, but what matters most is a strong work ethic and the ability to keep up in a physically demanding environment.

• Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) without assistance
• Full availability Monday to Friday (all five days per week)
• Legal eligibility to work 25 hours per week in Canada
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes accurately
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with changing temperatures
• Comfort working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Warehouse experience – preferred but not required
