About the Role: Package Handler/Non-Driver

As a Package Handler, your primary focus will be the loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting of freight within the facility. The role requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs independently and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment. Responsibilities

Day to day, a Package Handler at FedEx Squamish is responsible for keeping freight flowing accurately and on schedule through the facility. These tasks require physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to following proper procedures every shift.

• Load and unload freight at the facility, ensuring packages are handled with care and efficiency
• Scan freight accurately to maintain up-to-date tracking and inventory records
• Sort packages according to routing and delivery requirements within the facility
• Manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment and safe techniques
• Complete training requirements including basic and recurrency programs to maintain operational standards
• Operate in a PC Windows environment as required for logging and scanning tasks
• Adapt to varying shifts based on operational and business needs

• High School Diploma or GED — preferred but not mandatory
• Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with proper equipment
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations — an asset
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team
• Ability to complete all required training, including recurrency training and any mandatory assessments
• Comfortable working in a PC Windows environment for operational tasks
