About the Role: Package Handler / Non-Driver

As a Package Handler at FedEx’s Port Coquitlam facility, your core duties revolve around the physical handling of freight within the distribution centre. Accuracy and physical stamina are both key in this role.

Responsibilities

Working on the floor of FedEx’s Port Coquitlam warehouse facility, this role keeps daily operations running smoothly. Every task you perform — from unloading trucks to scanning parcels — directly supports the accurate and timely delivery of packages across Canada and beyond.

• Load and unload freight from delivery vehicles and trailers within the facility
• Scan packages using FedEx equipment to maintain accurate tracking records
• Sort freight efficiently and direct it to the correct processing zones
• Lift parcels weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Complete all required training, including basic onboarding and recurrency programs, and maintain relevant accreditations
• Operate in a PC Windows environment as needed for logging and processing tasks
• Work varying shifts in line with business needs and facility scheduling requirements

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for a reliable, physically capable candidate who can keep up with a high-volume warehouse environment. The ideal person brings a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to follow procedures precisely. Prior familiarity with FedEx operations or Canadian Customs regulations is an asset, though not required.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with proper equipment
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is considered an asset
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training, including any mandatory testing and accreditations
• Comfortable working varying shifts based on operational demands
