About the Role: Package Handler/Non-Driver
As a Package Handler, your primary focus is on the movement of freight through the facility. You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, ensuring packages are properly scanned and sorted for accurate routing. Precision and physical stamina are key — you’ll regularly handle packages up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre freight up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment.
This role requires the ability to operate in a PC Windows environment, complete all mandatory training and recurrency requirements, and adapt to varying shifts based on business needs. Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is considered an asset. Working safely and respectfully alongside your team is a core expectation of every shift.

Responsibilities
Day to day, a Package Handler at FedEx Kelowna keeps the freight operation running smoothly. From the moment packages arrive at the facility to when they’re routed out for delivery, your work ensures accuracy and efficiency every step of the way.
- Load and unload freight at the facility with care and efficiency
- Scan and sort packages to ensure correct routing and delivery accuracy
- Lift and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 70 lbs, and handle freight up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Complete mandatory training and all recurrency and accreditation requirements as assigned
- Operate within a PC Windows environment as needed for scanning and documentation
- Adapt to varying shifts based on operational business needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned in line with facility operations
Requirements / Skills

- High School Diploma or GED preferred
