About the Role: Package Handler/Non-Driver

As a Package Handler, your primary responsibility is to ensure freight moves efficiently through the facility. That means loading and unloading packages, scanning shipments, and sorting freight according to destination and priority. Physical stamina and attention to detail are key — you’ll be on your feet throughout your shift handling packages of varying sizes and weights.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment. You’ll be expected to complete all mandatory training and comply with FedEx Canada operations standards and Canadian Customs regulations. Responsibilities

Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, the Package Handler plays a critical role in keeping FedEx’s daily operations running smoothly. Each shift, you’ll be contributing directly to accurate and timely freight movement across the network.

  • Load and unload freight from delivery vehicles and dock doors efficiently and safely
  • Scan packages using FedEx scanning equipment to track and verify shipments
  • Sort freight within the facility based on destination, route, or service type
  • Handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre items up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
  • Complete mandatory training and all recurrency training requirements as assigned
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with FedEx Canada operational standards and Canadian Customs regulations
  • Work varying shifts based on business needs, including early morning start times

Requirements / Skills
