Meat Associate – Walmart – Victoria, BC
Location: Victoria, BC | Company: Walmart
Victoria’s Walmart location on Hillside Avenue is looking for a Meat Associate to join their store team. This is a hands-on retail role in the meat and deli department, where you’ll keep things fresh, organized, and customer-ready every single day. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering a quality in-store experience, this could be a solid fit.
Day to day, you’ll be working across the meat and deli department — maintaining product rotation, following food safety protocols, preparing deli items, and making sure pricing and signage are always accurate. It’s a role that blends physical work with customer interaction, and no two shifts are exactly the same.
About the Role: Meat Associate
As a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada, your primary focus is keeping the department clean, well-stocked, and operating to the highest standards. You’ll rotate stock, remove expired products, ensure proper cold chain compliance, and use equipment like slicers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers to prepare deli items for customers. Accuracy and attention to detail matter here — from temperature checks to sell-by dates.
You’ll also be expected to follow all Health and Safety guidelines and Walmart’s company policies to maintain a safe and hygienic workspace. Working as part of the store team, you contribute to a positive shopping environment and support the department’s daily sales goals. Flexibility across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights is part of the role.
