About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent and Postal Clerk
As a Delivery Agent, your day begins at the depot where you’ll sort and prepare deliveries before loading up a Canada Post postal vehicle. From there, you’re out in the community — delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle along your assigned route. At the end of your shift, you’ll return to unload incoming mail and parcels for the next round of deliveries.
In the Postal Clerk capacity, the work moves indoors to a sorting facility. You’ll be responsible for sorting, scanning, and sequencing mail items, operating material handling equipment, receiving and accepting mail, and ensuring parcels and packets are properly transferred and dispatched. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work varied shifts — including nights and weekends — are essential in keeping operations running smoothly.
Benefits and Salary
This role pays $23.81 per hour. Beyond the hourly wage, Canada Post provides extensive classroom and on-the-job training to set you up for success.
