About the Role: Grocery Associate

As a Grocery Associate at Walmart Victoria, your primary focus will be maintaining a fully stocked and organized grocery department. This includes zoning the department, rotating stock, checking for expired products, and ensuring all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. You’ll be responsible for keeping things tidy and ready for business every single day.

This role also requires a strong commitment to food safety and handling procedures, including sanitation and cleaning standards. You’ll follow established protocols for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, and proper labelling — all while staying in line with Health and Safety guidelines.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, a Grocery Associate at Walmart keeps the department stocked, organized, and compliant with safety standards. These responsibilities are central to delivering a consistent shopping experience and ensuring the store meets customer expectations at every visit.

• Zone the department to keep the grocery area organized and shoppable at all times
• Rotate stock and check for expired products to maintain product freshness and safety
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced throughout the section
• Adhere to food safety and handling procedures, including sanitation and cleaning protocols
• Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labelling
• Keep the department fully stocked with merchandise and ready for business each day
• Stock merchandise, downstock where applicable, apply product protection when required, and set and complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines consistently across all tasks
