Walmart Canada’s Vegreville location is looking for a General Merchandise Associate to join their in-store team. About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Vegreville, you’ll be responsible for maintaining your assigned area of the salesfloor, ensuring products are properly stocked, zoned, and easy for customers to find. You’ll greet shoppers, assist them in locating items, and help resolve concerns on the spot or escalate when needed.

You’ll also play an important role in store safety and cleanliness, completing safety sweep logs and making sure displays and fixtures are secure. Collaboration with fellow associates is key — good communication keeps floor coverage consistent throughout each shift.

Responsibilities

This role keeps you moving throughout the store, from stocking shelves to assisting customers and maintaining a clean, organized salesfloor. Each task contributes directly to the overall customer experience and the smooth operation of the store.

• Greet and assist customers in a polite, friendly manner — helping them locate merchandise, promoting products and services, and resolving any concerns appropriately
• Cover and zone assigned salesfloor areas to keep the store looking its best
• Stock merchandise, downstock as applicable, apply product protection when required, and set/complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Move feature merchandise to its modular home as part of regular floor maintenance
• Work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas throughout the store
• Assist with Front End coverage as needed and communicate with fellow associates to maintain consistent floor coverage
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
