About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and zoning the general merchandise area, assisting customers throughout the store, and supporting the overall flow of the sales floor. From setting modulars to moving feature merchandise to its proper home, your day-to-day work directly impacts the shopping experience for Canadians coming in to save money and live better.

Responsibilities

The day-to-day work of a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Strathmore is varied and customer-focused. You’ll split your time between assisting shoppers, maintaining the sales floor, and supporting stocking and merchandising activities — all of which are essential to keeping the store operating efficiently.

  • Greet and assist customers in a polite and friendly manner, helping them locate merchandise and make informed purchase decisions

  • Assist with Front End coverage and communicate with fellow associates to maintain proper floor coverage at all times
