About the Role: Courier-5

Responsibilities
As a FedEx Courier, your day revolves around delivering packages efficiently while representing the company’s brand with every customer interaction. Each route brings its own set of tasks, and staying organized and on schedule is key to success in this role.
- Pick up and deliver packages along an assigned route in a courteous and efficient manner
- Inspect shipments to ensure they conform to Federal Express Canada’s features of service
- Provide customer service functions related to deliveries, including handling inquiries and concerns on-site
- Manage time and route effectively to meet delivery windows and maintain service standards
- Handle packages safely, including lifting up to 70 lbs and manoeuvring items up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Adapt to varying schedules, including holidays, based on business needs
- Complete mandatory training and recurrence training, maintaining all required certifications and accreditations
Requirements / Skills
FedEx is looking for a dependable, physically capable individual with a solid customer service mindset and a clean driving record. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision in a high-pressure delivery environment.
- High school diploma or educational equivalent required
- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Physical ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Customer service experience: at least one year in a customer-oriented business is preferred
- Must pass mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training
- Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is considered an asset
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure with flexibility for varying shifts
