Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Bakery Wrapper position at Costco in Mississauga is an hourly, entry-level role focused on finishing, packaging and stocking baked goods at the 3180 Laird Road warehouse. Because the posting requires a Food Safety Certification, Level 1 from day one, leading with that credential matters. Candidates should also highlight any experience with food handling, packaging or stock rotation, since those tasks make up the core of the work.
Resume & Application Tips: List your Food Safety Certification, Level 1 prominently, including the issuing body and expiry date. If you have worked in a bakery, kitchen, food production line or retail grocery setting, describe the specific tasks you performed: wrapping, labelling, restocking shelves or following health code procedures. A line like “labelled and rotated an average of X units per shift with zero health-code infractions” gives a concrete sense of your output and attention to detail.
Interview Preparation: Be ready to describe a time you followed a specific procedure or formula without deviation, since garnishing and glazing according to Costco formulas is a stated duty. Think of an example from past work where you caught a defective or non-conforming product before it reached a customer, which maps directly to the culling responsibility. If the posting’s schedule is not spelled out in the listing, it is worth asking about shift times and whether weekend availability is expected for this warehouse location.
