About the Role: Bakery InStore Clerk

As a Bakery InStore Clerk, you’ll be on the front lines of the in-store experience — keeping shelves stocked, displays looking sharp, and customers feeling helped. Your day-to-day will involve maintaining bakery product displays, ensuring products are available and properly arranged, and engaging with shoppers in a friendly and knowledgeable way.

You’ll also support health and safety standards, assist with inventory management, and help set up company-directed promotions. Working as part of a collaborative store team, your attention to detail and sense of responsibility will make a direct impact on the department’s performance and the overall shopping experience.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping the bakery department stocked, organized, and customer-ready throughout your evening shifts. Each task contributes directly to a positive shopping experience and a well-functioning store operation.

• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to questions and engaging shoppers with product knowledge
• Stock and maintain product displays and shelves to meet company presentation standards
• Ensure accurate product scanning and flag inventory needs to support ordering processes
• Set up company-directed promotions and in-store programs as directed
• Monitor department cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards at all times
• Identify inventory gaps and assist with ordering to keep shelves consistently stocked
