About the Role: Baker (Part-Time, Night)

As a Baker at Loblaws, you’ll be at the heart of the bakery department — taking customer orders, accurately labelling products, maintaining product displays, and making sure the department stays clean, organized, and well-stocked. You’ll also play a front-line role in answering customer questions and sharing your knowledge about the products available.

Beyond the day-to-day baking tasks, this role involves carrying out company-directed promotions and programs and upholding established health and safety standards. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, initiative, and a positive attitude on every shift.

Benefits and Salary

The hiring range for this position is $17.95 – $30.97 per hour. Please note this is a unionized position, and pay rates are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement — the range shown reflects the starting range. • Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and sharing product knowledge with shoppers
• Accurately scan and label products to ensure customers receive the right items with correct information
• Carry out company-directed promotions and programs as directed by store leadership
• Maintain product displays to keep the bakery section looking full, fresh, and appealing
• Keep the department area organized throughout the shift to support efficiency and cleanliness
• Uphold established health and safety standards at all times on the floor

Requirements / Skills

Loblaws is looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The good news is that no previous bakery experience is required — full training is provided to set you up for success from day one. What matters most is your attitude and reliability.

• Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends as needed
• Demonstrated customer service skills and a friendly, helpful approach with shoppers
• Physical ability to move up to 50 lbs and remain in constant mobility for an entire shift
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks and departments
• Candidates 18 years or older will be required to complete a criminal background check as part of the application process
