This isn’t your typical security role. As part of Loblaw’s Asset Protection team — one of the largest in the country — you’ll work alongside store management to minimize product loss, investigate fraud and theft, and build a culture of awareness across the entire team. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts profitability and community safety.

About the Role: Asset Protection Representative

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for deterring, detecting, and apprehending individuals involved in theft and fraud within the retail location. You’ll conduct internal investigations, compile evidence for court or arbitration proceedings, and collaborate with local police services on a regular basis. When organized retail crime (ORC) cases arise at a provincial or national level, you’ll work alongside fellow APRs to investigate and respond effectively.

Beyond the investigative side, this role involves store-level audits, identifying shrink opportunities within operational compliance, and actively coaching colleagues on Asset Protection policies and procedures. You’ll participate in management meetings, community events, and contribute to building strong store partnerships. A valid Provincial Security Guard Licence is required, and Loblaws will reimburse your annual licence costs as part of their support for your career.
