About the Role: Asset Protection Representative
As an Asset Protection Representative at Loblaws, you’ll be on the front lines of deterring theft and fraud, identifying shrink opportunities, and building a culture of awareness throughout the store. Your day-to-day will involve everything from CCTV surveillance and investigating internal cases to compiling evidence for court or arbitration proceedings. You’ll also collaborate with other APRs on Organized Retail Crime (ORC) investigations at the provincial and national level.
Working a 40-hour work week across a variety of shifts — including days, evenings, nights, and weekends — you’ll need to be adaptable and independently motivated. Safety awareness, integrity, and the ability to maintain professional relationships with both colleagues and law enforcement are essential in this role.

Responsibilities
An Asset Protection Representative at Loblaws wears many hats — from conducting surveillance and investigations to building lasting relationships with store management and local law enforcement. - Deter, detect, and apprehend individuals involved in theft and fraud within retail locations
- Collaborate with other APRs to investigate provincial and national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases
- Liaise with local police services on a regular basis to support investigations and community safety
- Detect and investigate internal cases; compile and present evidence for court or arbitration proceedings
- Identify shrink opportunities within operational core compliance processes
- Build and maintain store partnerships through management meetings, huddles, and colleague coaching on Asset Protection policies
- Participate in store-level audits and community events
- Work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a 40-hour work week
Requirements / Skills

- Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence — required before starting
