About the Role: Asset Protection Associate

As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Canada, your primary mission is to create and maintain a secure, effective work environment while increasing profitability by mitigating financial and physical loss. You’ll conduct daily patrols of the facility, validate that doors and showcases are secure, and work closely with Store Leadership to communicate findings from your investigations.

You’ll also be expected to conduct and support investigations into internal theft, organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics — all handled in a timely, thorough manner and in strict accordance with Walmart Canada policies. Strong communication, sound judgment, and a professional demeanour are essential in this role.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this Asset Protection Associate position starts at $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

This role covers a wide range of security and loss prevention duties that keep the store running safely and profitably. From routine patrols to complex investigations, every task you take on directly supports the well-being of customers, associates, and the business as a whole.

• Conduct daily patrols of the facility, ensuring doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly
• Make external arrests when necessary and in accordance with applicable laws and Walmart policy
• Investigate instances of financial and physical shrink, communicating findings to Store Leadership and the Market Loss Prevention Manager as appropriate
• Support store evacuation procedures in the event of fire or other emergencies
• Participate in store task team responsibilities as required
• Conduct and support investigations into internal theft, dishonesty, and organized retail crime cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics
• Communicate clearly across different sources of information, clarifying issues and presenting multiple perspectives as needed
