About the Role: Warehouse Yard Crew

The Yard Crew role at UPS involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of UPS trailers and surrounding work areas. Day-to-day, you’ll be stacking skids, clearing out trailer interiors, and verifying the contents of equipment throughout the yard — including 5-tonne vehicles. It’s physical, consistent work that plays a direct role in keeping UPS operations running smoothly.

UPS places a strong emphasis on workplace safety and established package handling procedures. You’ll be expected to follow company safety rules closely, work collaboratively with your team, and adapt to varying workloads depending on daily shipment volume. No prior warehouse experience is needed — paid training is provided from day one.

Benefits and Salary

The starting pay rate is $17.80/hr (a base rate of $15.55 plus an hourly bonus of $2.25), with automatic wage progression under the Union Collective Agreement up to a top rate of $25.41/hr after 48 months. This is a unionized position, which means strong job protections and structured wage increases. • Follow all company-established safety rules and procedures at all times
• Learn and execute proper package handling methods as trained by UPS

Requirements / Skills

• Minimum 18 years of age — mandatory requirement
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (35 kg) without assistance
• Full availability Monday to Friday — all five days of the week required
• Comfort working in physically demanding conditions, including extreme temperatures and varying weather
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Ability to operate yard machinery related to the position
• Flexibility to stay beyond standard shift hours based on operational needs
