Compensation & Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,700 to $251,700 per year, depending on your experience and skills. Amazon’s comprehensive benefits package includes equity, sign-on payments, and a variety of health, financial, and wellness benefits.

Role of the Senior Software Development Engineer

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing product features across front-end, back-end, or full stack. You will build scalable, efficient solutions that enhance customer experiences.

Your role includes end-to-end software development, from requirements gathering and design to testing and deployment. You will work closely with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and other tech teams to launch projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable software solutions for Amazon Stores.
  • Lead architecture and design for new and existing systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new features and improve existing ones.
  • Drive the DevOps delivery model from development through to operational excellence.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience in programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
