What Does a Rating Associate Do?

As a Rating Associate, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of FedEx Freight’s rating and billing systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing timely and accurate information to customers and the sales department.
• Auditing freight bills to ensure compliance with customer agreements and tariffs.
• Supporting Account Managers by resolving account-related issues.
• Processing service center corrections and applying surcharges as per the latest tariff.
• Collaborating with other departments to exchange critical information.

Your role is essential to maintaining the integrity of FedEx Freight’s operations while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Rate and audit freight bills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide pricing support to customers and internal sales teams.

• Utilize Microsoft Office applications to manage and analyze data.
• Ensure all tasks comply with company policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in freight or transportation.
• Understanding of Canada/US LTL transportation rules.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage high workloads with accuracy.
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred; required for Quebec locations.
