About the Role: Produce Stocker

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, your main focus is maintaining a clean, fully stocked, and well-organized produce department. You’ll handle everything from restocking merchandise and setting displays to removing expired items and applying proper food safety procedures. Accurate pricing and signage are also part of the job, and you’ll follow ordering and clearance procedures to keep the department running correctly.

This role requires solid attention to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature monitoring, proper food handling, and compliance with expiry and sell-by dates. You’ll also be expected to follow all Health and Safety guidelines and contribute to a clean, safe work environment. Flexibility with scheduling — including evenings, weekends, and holidays — is important to meet the needs of the business.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum starting rate of pay for this position is $18.70 per hour. Responsibilities

Working as a Produce Stocker means keeping one of the busiest sections of the store running smoothly every shift. From stocking and rotating fresh products to enforcing food safety standards, each task plays a direct role in the customer shopping experience and the store’s overall performance.

• Organize and zone the produce department so it’s always clean, tidy, and customer-ready
• Rotate products regularly and remove expired or poor-quality items to maintain freshness standards
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage across all produce, including markups, markdowns, clearance, and labels
• Follow food safety and cold chain procedures, including temperature checks, proper handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiry dates
• Stock and downstock merchandise, set modulars and shelf displays, and apply product protection as needed
• Comply with Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe, clean work environment at all times
• Manage high task volumes efficiently during busy shifts, including restocking and recovery work completed accurately and on time
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
