About the Role: Preload Package Handler

As a Preload Package Handler, you’ll be responsible for the physical handling of UPS parcels — loading and unloading packages into trailers and package cars, sorting shipments by postal code, and ensuring everything is properly stocked and ready for delivery drivers. You’ll follow UPS package handling methods and may use heavy machinery to assist with tasks. This is a fast-moving environment where accuracy and physical stamina go hand in hand.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at $18.30 per hour ($17.30 base + a $1.00 hourly bonus), with automatic pay progression under the Union Collective Agreement up to $30.09 per hour after 48 months of service. You’ll receive weekly pay via direct deposit every Friday. After one year of service, you become eligible for extended health care benefits including vision, dental, health, and life insurance. UPS also offers tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility and program approval), paid vacation starting at 2 weeks after one year (growing to 6 weeks after 25 years), personal paid days off, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employee discounts, and an Employee Referral Bonus Program.
