About the Role: PM Sorter
As a Warehouse Associate at UPS Ajax, you’ll be responsible for sorting and stocking packages by postal code, as well as loading and unloading packages into and out of UPS delivery vehicles and trailers. You’ll learn and apply UPS’s established package handling methods to ensure every parcel is processed accurately and safely. Shifts run 3–5 hours per day, and flexibility with start and finish times is expected. All associates are required to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
The role takes place in a warehouse and trailer environment where temperatures can vary depending on the season. You’ll need to be comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles. Teamwork, reliability, and physical endurance are key to performing well in this position, and UPS provides paid training to set you up for success from day one.
Benefits and Salary
This unionized position starts at $18.50/hr, with automatic pay progression under the existing Union Collective Agreement — reaching a top rate of $36.53/hr after 48 months of service. Weekly pay is delivered via direct deposit every Friday. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility and program approval), paid training, personal paid days off, and 2 weeks of paid vacation after 1 year (growing to 6 weeks after 25 years).
