About the Role: Package Handler

As a Package Handler at UPS Caledon, your day-to-day work centres on moving packages efficiently and safely through the facility. You’ll be working inside package delivery vehicles and trailers, sorting and stocking based on postal codes, and following UPS’s established package handling procedures. Shifts run Monday to Friday, typically averaging 3 to 5 hours per day, with start times between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.

This role operates within a unionized environment, meaning your pay progression and working conditions are governed by a Collective Agreement — providing consistency and transparency in how you’re compensated and treated on the job. You’ll be expected to adapt to changing temperatures in the warehouse and remain flexible with shift start and end times based on operational needs.

Benefits and Salary

The starting pay rate is $18.15 per hour, with automatic pay progression under the Union Collective Agreement — reaching a top rate of $30.11/hr after 48 months. Responsibilities

Working as a Package Handler, you’ll be at the core of UPS’s daily logistics operation. Every package that moves through the facility depends on the accuracy, speed, and reliability of team members in this role — making attention to detail and physical stamina essential.

• Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Sort and stock packages accurately based on postal codes
• Learn and execute UPS’s established package handling methods and procedures
• Work consistently across Monday to Friday shifts, adapting to variable start and end times
• Maintain productivity in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment
• Work safely inside truck trailers and delivery vehicles as required

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for candidates who are physically capable, dependable, and adaptable. This role suits individuals comfortable with repetitive physical work and who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule of up to 25 hours. Prior warehouse experience is a bonus but not required.

• Physical fitness: ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) without assistance
• Availability: full availability Monday to Friday (all five days required)
• Legal eligibility to work up to 25 hours per week in Canada
• Postal code literacy: ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate sorting
• Comfort in demanding conditions: physically intensive work in varying temperatures
• Warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory
