About the Role: Package Handler

As a Package Handler at the Caledon UPS facility, your core responsibilities revolve around keeping packages moving accurately and efficiently through the warehouse. You’ll be working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles, handling parcels of varying sizes and weights, and applying company-established handling methods to ensure everything arrives where it needs to go.

This role demands physical stamina and a strong attention to detail — particularly when it comes to sorting packages by postal code. You’ll be working as part of a team in a warehouse setting with changing temperatures, so comfort with a dynamic environment is key. Flexibility around shift times is expected, as start and finish times may shift based on operational needs.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at a pay rate of $18.15 per hour, with automatic pay rate progression through the Union Collective Agreement — reaching a top rate of $30.11/hr. after 48 months. UPS also provides tuition reimbursement of up to $2,000 per semester, making this an excellent option for students. Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers
• Sort and stock packages accurately based on postal codes
• Execute company-established package handling methods consistently and correctly
• Work efficiently in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting for shifts of 3–5 hours
• Maintain flexibility with shift start and finish times based on operational requirements

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for candidates who are physically capable, reliable, and ready to commit to a consistent weekly schedule. While warehouse experience is preferred, the right attitude and work ethic are equally valued — and paid training means you don’t need to come in knowing everything.

• Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) without assistance
• Full availability to work all five days: Sunday to Thursday
• Legal eligibility to work up to 25 hours per week in Canada
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes accurately for sorting purposes
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment
• Comfort working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles
• Warehouse experience is an asset (preferred but not required)
