What Does a Member Service Assistant Do?

As a Member Service Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include greeting and assisting members, conducting safety checks, and ensuring the security of the warehouse. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Welcoming members at the entrance, verifying membership cards, and keeping the entry area clean.
• Performing hourly safety and security checks throughout the warehouse and its perimeter.
• Checking member receipts at the exit and ensuring accuracy in purchases.
• Observing and discreetly managing security during critical transactions, such as armored transport pickups.
• Assisting members with directions, product locations, and other inquiries while ensuring excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly safety inspections and report issues like spills or blocked exits to the duty manager.
• Use a handheld counter to track entry counts, reporting data every 30 minutes.
• Monitor warehouse access and oversee security for armored vehicle arrivals and sensitive transactions.
• Greet exiting members, verify receipts, and promptly address concerns.
• Drive personal vehicle around the warehouse perimeter for after-hours security checks.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to communicate fluently in French (for Québec locations).

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• No prior experience required, making this an ideal entry-level role!
