Meat Department Manager – Walmart – Williams Lake, BC
Location: Vancouver, BC | Company: Walmart
Walmart Canada’s Williams Lake location is looking for a Meat Department Manager to lead their meat team and keep operations running at a high standard. This is a Regular/Permanent position based at the store on Prosperity Way in Williams Lake, BC — a community-centred retail environment where department leaders play a hands-on role in both people management and day-to-day operations.
This role is a genuine leadership opportunity in retail meat management, blending team development, customer service, merchandising, and inventory control. If you enjoy working in a structured environment where every shift brings a variety of tasks and you take pride in a well-run department, this could be a strong fit.
About the Role: Meat Department Manager
As the Meat Department Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full operation of the meat section within the store. That means leading and developing your team of Meat Associates, ensuring merchandise is properly received, stocked, rotated, and displayed, and that production targets are consistently met. You’ll also manage the Store Within A Store (SWAS) planning process, attending SWAS meetings and reviewing reports related to food products, orders, and sales.
Beyond product management, this role requires a commitment to customer service, a strong eye for food safety and shrink control, and the ability to handle administrative responsibilities including paperwork, inventory tracking, and returns. You’ll be working a variety of shifts — mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights — so flexibility is key.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $19.60 per hour. Walmart Canada also offers a range of benefits to support associates, including comprehensive benefits, life insurance, and paid time off (availability based on hours or employment status). Additional perks include a store discount, stock options, deferred profit sharing, EQ Health support, and access to the Live Better U education program.
