About the Role: Manager, Accounting Operations, Margin
As the Manager, Margin Accounting, you’ll be responsible for the Dealer/Corporate margin split calculation, contractual interpretation and analysis, and ensuring that all financial results are accurately and timely reported in compliance with IFRS and CTC accounting policies. You’ll serve as a subject-matter expert across your areas of responsibility and play a key role in project work tied to these functions.
You’ll manage and develop a team of seven direct reports, review journal entries and account reconciliations through the monthly close process, and build strong working relationships with internal and external audit teams. A focus on continuous process improvement and automation is central to the role, as is the ability to communicate variance analysis and financial insights to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Day-to-day, you’ll be driving the accuracy and integrity of margin-related financials while managing a high-performing team through multiple deadlines. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll own:
- Oversee financial reporting for Sales, Cost of Sales, and Warranties across all CTC business units
- Lead the Dealer/Corporate margin split calculation including contractual interpretation and analysis
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and CTC internal accounting policies and procedures
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Manage model reviews and updates, applying a critical mindset to question inputs and assumptions
- Communicate significant variances to senior management with context linked to business strategy and events
- Collaborate with Merchandising, FP&A, Marketing, Supply Chain, A/R, A/P, Treasury, and I.T. teams
- Develop and manage seven direct reports, supporting their growth and performance
- Drive continuous process improvement and automation initiatives
- Support internal and external audit relationships and ensure compliance with key controls
Requirements / Skills

- University degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- CPA designation is required
- 6+ years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a People Manager role
- IFRS knowledge and experience with complex financial reporting environments
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills (Access, Word, PowerPoint); Oracle Financial system experience (HFM, PeopleSoft, Smartview, ARCS) is an asset
- Analytical and problem-solving ability with a track record of investigating complex accounting issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and automation in a dynamic environment
