About the Role: Flex Driver

As a Flex Driver with Federal Express Corporation Canada, your core responsibility is the timely and accurate delivery of packages along pre-assigned routes in the London area. You’ll review your orders at the start of each shift, load your vehicle properly, and manage your route efficiently to meet delivery windows. Direct interaction with customers is a regular part of the job, so a professional and courteous approach matters.

This role also requires physical readiness — you’ll need to be able to lift up to 70 lbs and handle the demands of a physically active workday. Candidates must pass a mandatory pre-placement driver assessment and complete all required training before hitting the road independently. A clean driving record is essential, with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages to predetermined customers on specific routes in a timely and professional manner
• Review orders prior to departure to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Load and unload the delivery vehicle safely and efficiently each shift
• Provide exceptional customer service during every delivery interaction
• Complete mandatory training including pre-placement driver assessment and all recurrency training modules
• Operate in a PC Windows environment as required for route management and reporting
• Work varying shifts based on business requirements, adapting to flexible scheduling demands

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for candidates who are dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage time well are just as important as the technical requirements for this role.

• Valid full G licence / Class 5 driver’s licence — mandatory requirement for this position
• Clean driving record — no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months
• High school diploma or educational equivalent
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and handle the physical demands of daily delivery work
• Customer service experience — one year in a customer-oriented role is preferred
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple deliveries efficiently
• Bilingual in French and English — required for candidates based in Quebec (not applicable for this London posting)
• Some knowledge of FedEx Canada operations is considered an asset
