About the Role: Delivery Driver
As a UPS Package Driver, your primary responsibility is to efficiently deliver and pick up parcels along an assigned route. You’ll be behind the wheel for most of the day, navigating to residential and commercial stops using GPS and maps, while continually loading, unloading, and carrying packages of varying weights. This role requires physical stamina, time management, and a commitment to representing UPS professionally at every stop.
Safety is central to everything at UPS. Drivers are expected to follow UPS safe and defensive driving protocols at all times, adhere to company appearance standards, and maintain accurate records of all deliveries. You’ll also be expected to work collaboratively with your team when loading and unloading trucks, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation out of the 8825 Campeau Drive facility in Kanata.
Benefits and Salary
This position starts at $20.00 per hour, with significant earning potential through the union collective agreement — rising to $37.29 per hour after seniority plus 48 months of service. Compensation also includes overtime pay and weekly pay cycles. After one year of service, employees receive 2 weeks of paid vacation as well as vision, health, and dental benefits. Responsibilities
Day-to-day, a UPS Delivery Driver is responsible for keeping parcels moving safely and on time across assigned routes. These duties require physical endurance, attention to detail, and a strong sense of accountability at every stop.
- Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently from residential and commercial properties
- Execute safe and defensive driving practices as trained by UPS at all times
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the facility as required
- Record, track, and maintain accurate information about all delivered and picked-up packages
- Navigate routes using GPS devices, maps, and map books to locate destinations efficiently
- Comply with UPS appearance standards by wearing the company-provided vest and uniform
- Provide excellent customer service through efficiency and professionalism at every stop
Requirements / Skills

- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence is required — no exceptions
- Clean driver’s abstract: no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, no more than 2 violations in 3 years, no traffic violations in the past 12 months, and no more than 5 demerit points over 3 years
- Physical fitness to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) unassisted; typical packages range from 25–35 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- GPS and map navigation proficiency to find locations reliably across the route
- Availability Tuesday through Saturday and some Mondays as required
- Strong customer service skills to represent UPS professionally at every delivery
