Wasaga Beach’s Walmart location is looking for a Deli Bakery Team Associate to join their in-store team. If you enjoy working with food, serving customers, and keeping things running smoothly behind the counter, this could be a solid fit for your next role.
Day to day, you’ll split your time between the Deli and Bakery departments — zoning shelves, preparing food orders, following food safety standards, and making sure every customer who stops by leaves satisfied. It’s a hands-on role that keeps you moving and engaged throughout your shift.
About the Role: Deli Bakery Team Associate
As a Deli Bakery Team Associate at Walmart Wasaga Beach, you’ll be responsible for maintaining product quality and presentation across both the deli and bakery sections. You’ll prepare hot deli foods, handle rotisserie chicken, fill prepared side dishes, and follow precise thawing and baking guidelines for bakery items like bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
Compliance and consistency are a big part of this role. You’ll be expected to follow cold chain protocols, temperature recording procedures, proper food handling practices, and Walmart’s standards for ordering, markups, markdowns, and product labelling. Being a reliable team player who communicates well and stays positive under pressure goes a long way here.
