Responsibilities

Working the cash register at a busy Loblaws store means staying sharp, staying friendly, and keeping things moving. From the moment a customer approaches your till to the moment they walk away, your attention to detail and warm demeanour set the tone for their entire shopping experience. Here’s what your typical shift will involve:

• Providing excellent customer service by engaging shoppers with friendly, helpful interactions at the checkout
• Scanning products and processing transactions accurately to minimize errors and keep lineups moving efficiently
• Handling cash and credit card payments responsibly and in line with store procedures
• Supporting in-store promotions and company-directed programs as directed by management
• Keeping the register area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout your shift
• Assisting customers with general inquiries and directing them appropriately when needed
