About the Role: Assistant Team Leader
The Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama supports the management team across a range of daily store functions. You’ll be involved in everything from unboxing daily shipments and restocking shelves to opening and closing the store, managing cash, and participating in employee training. This is a position where no two days are exactly the same.
You’ll also play an important role in maintaining store safety and cleanliness standards, resolving customer concerns, and stepping in as manager on duty when needed. Strong teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are key to doing well in this role.

Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you’ll be expected to contribute meaningfully to both the team and the customer experience on a daily basis. The responsibilities below reflect the variety and pace that come with being an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama.
- Supporting management in overseeing store operations and coordinating staff activities
- Processing shipments by boxing and unboxing daily deliveries efficiently
- Stocking shelves with daily products in compliance with presentation standards
- Delivering customer service and resolving customer issues in a professional manner
- Upholding safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store
- Conducting manager on duty tasks, including tracking attendance and ensuring scheduled breaks are taken
- Performing cash management as well as store opening and closing duties as needed
- Participating in training new employees and supporting their onboarding
