About the Role: Assistant Store Manager
As an Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama in Québec, you’ll be a key part of the store’s leadership team. Responsibilities
As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be at the centre of the store’s daily rhythm — balancing operational tasks with people leadership. These responsibilities are designed to ensure the store runs efficiently, staff are well-supported, and customers have a consistent shopping experience.
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily retail store operations
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager, taking full accountability for in-store decisions
- Communicate and enforce company rules and regulations to ensure all team members understand and follow established guidelines
- Oversee inventory counts to ensure they are completed accurately and promptly, supporting proper resupply of goods
- Monitor and maintain established merchandising practices across the store floor
- Participate in recruitment and training activities for new employees, contributing to a well-prepared team
- Organize priorities effectively to manage the demands of a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment
Requirements / Skills
Dollarama is looking for a candidate with a solid foundation in retail operations and proven experience leading a team. The ideal person is organized, communicates well, and is comfortable making decisions under pressure in a high-traffic store environment.
- Minimum 2 years of retail industry experience, with a strong understanding of store operations
- Team management experience, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively

- Availability to work 40–50 hours per week, including days, evenings, and weekends as required
