About the Role: Web Solutions Developer III

As a Web Solutions Developer on the Google Cloud Support team, your core focus will be designing and developing applications and tooling that improve the cloud support experience for customers and internal agents alike. You’ll work across the full stack — front-end, back-end, and integrations — tackling complex business problems with thoughtful technical design and clean execution.

Beyond writing code, you’ll be expected to write and review detailed technical design documents, monitor application performance, and advocate for customer and agent needs with cross-functional teams. Strong English communication skills are essential, as you’ll be engaging frequently with stakeholders from around the world to identify pain points and devise innovative solutions.

• Design and develop applications and tooling specifically built for Google Cloud Support use cases
• Write and review detailed technical design documents to ensure sound architecture decisions
• Monitor and enhance the performance of applications and services on an ongoing basis
• Partner with tech leads to build reliable, scalable features that serve a global customer base
• Understand customer and agent issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders from different functions and regions to identify pain points and devise technical solutions

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a developer who brings both technical depth and strong communication skills to this role. You should be comfortable working across the stack and equally comfortable engaging with stakeholders to understand real-world business challenges. Here’s what’s required and preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field — or equivalent practical experience in software development
• 6 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design
• Programming proficiency in at least one of: Java, Python, GoLang, or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Fluent English communication skills for client relationship management in this region
• Experience with test frameworks and familiarity with CRMs and billing systems (preferred)
• Familiarity with data storage and analysis tools such as SQL, NoSQL, logs analysis, protocol buffers, and MapReduce (preferred)
• Proficiency in machine learning, data analysis, and data science is considered an asset
• Ability to work across the full stack — front-end, back-end, and integrations (preferred)
