Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise chat software at scale. Your contributions will span the full development cycle — from writing production-quality code to collaborating with stakeholders across the organization — all in service of delivering reliable, performant cloud solutions.

  • Write product and system development code that meets Google’s high engineering standards
  • Design, build, and iterate on Android-stack software projects from concept through delivery

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a developer who combines solid technical fundamentals with the ability to move quickly and adapt.   • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
  • 2 years of experience with full-stack development using Java or Kotlin
  • 2 years of experience in Android application development
  • Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred)
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, setting direction for project teams (preferred)
  • Experience working in cross-functional or cross-business structured organizational environments (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI development tools and the ability to prototype rapidly while meeting delivery standards (preferred)
