Senior Customer Success Manager (Transformation Advisor), Independent Software Vendor (ISV) – Amazon Web Services – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, ON | Company: Amazon
AWS Canada has posted a Senior Customer Success Manager (Transformation Advisor), Independent Software Vendor (ISV) position based in Toronto, Ontario. This is a full-time role with a base salary range of $126,000–$210,400 CAD annually, plus potential sign-on payments, restricted stock units, and a comprehensive benefits package.
In this role, you’ll own the success of a portfolio of Canadian ISV accounts, helping those companies migrate critical workloads, adopt AI and agentic capabilities, and translate their AWS investments into measurable business outcomes.
About the Role: Senior Customer Success Manager (Transformation Advisor), ISV
Your primary focus is a portfolio of Canadian Independent Software Vendors at various stages of cloud, SaaS, and AI transformation. You’ll work backwards from each customer’s strategic milestones to define and execute a clear path to value, leading roadmap-to-outcome alignment sessions, Executive Briefing Sessions, and go-live milestones.
You’ll help ISVs build the governance, operating models, and data infrastructure needed for long-term transformation, not just short-term targets. Supporting customers in adopting generative AI and agentic capabilities that reshape how software is built, delivered, and monetized is a stated part of the work.
Across AWS internal teams (Sales, Solutions Architecture, Support, Professional Services, and Partner teams), you’ll serve as the connective tissue, coordinating high-quality engagement and contributing to account planning with clear ownership and timelines. You’ll also lead director-level engagements, co-innovation workshops, and strategic planning sessions with Product, Engineering, and Technology leadership within ISV accounts.
The role involves portfolio health monitoring, structured reporting, and applying measurement frameworks to confirm customers are realizing value. You’ll proactively identify technical, organizational, or commercial risks and drive mitigation plans before they escalate.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary range is $126,000–$210,400 CAD annually for the Toronto location, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Total compensation may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
Amazon’s benefits package includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to support health and well-being.

Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: This Senior Customer Success Manager (Transformation Advisor), ISV role at Amazon Web Services in Toronto is a full-time position focused on driving cloud, SaaS, and AI transformation outcomes for a portfolio of Canadian software vendors. A candidate’s resume should put 5+ years of IT or Management Consulting experience and 4+ years leading large-scale technical programs front and centre, tied directly to examples of business case development and measurable program outcomes.
Resume & Application Tips: Mirror the posting’s language around thought leadership, business case development, and customer executive engagement, since those phrases appear in the required qualifications. Past roles that involved coordinating across multiple internal teams to unblock a customer program are directly relevant here. If you hold an AWS Solutions Architect certification or equivalent cloud credential, list it prominently in a certifications section rather than burying it in a paragraph. A concrete example such as “reduced a six-month migration timeline to four months by resolving cross-team dependencies” gives reviewers the kind of measurable outcome the posting calls for.
Interview Preparation: Prepare a specific example of a large-scale technical program you led from planning through go-live, covering how you managed stakeholders at the executive and engineering levels simultaneously. Think through how you would describe translating a complex cloud or AI solution into a business case for a non-technical VP. Since the posting does not name a specific AWS team size or territory, it is worth asking about the current size of the ISV portfolio you’d be taking on and how success is measured in the first 90 days.
