Ramp Handler – FedEx – Edmonton, AB
FedEx Canada is hiring a part-time Ramp Handler to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading FedEx aircraft and vehicles, as well as scanning and transporting freight within the facility and on the ramp.

Primary Responsibilities for the Ramp Handler Role
The key responsibilities of a Ramp Handler at FedEx include the following:
- Loading and unloading aircraft and vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Scanning and transporting freight to and from the ramp and within the facility.
- Operating ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and other machinery.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures during ramp and package handling operations.
- Ensuring all documentation and freight records are accurate and up to date.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Ramp Handler Position
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Training: Ability to successfully complete all required ramp training and certifications, including ground support equipment (GSE), tugs, belt loaders, t-stacking, and dangerous goods (DG).
- Recurrency Training: Must maintain yearly accreditation through recurrency training prior to expiration.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and maneuvering packages weighing up to 150 lbs with proper equipment.
- Problem Solving and Communication: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
