Member Service Assistant – Costco – Quebec City, QC
Location: Quebec City, QC | Company: Costco Wholesale
Costco’s Quebec City warehouse at 999 rue du Marais is looking for a Member Service Assistant to join the front-line team. This role puts you at the heart of the member experience — greeting people as they arrive, keeping the warehouse safe, and making sure every visit ends on a positive note. If you enjoy being on your feet, interacting with people, and taking ownership of your responsibilities, this position is worth a look.
The day-to-day work blends customer service with warehouse safety and security. You’ll be the first face members see when they walk in and the last one they interact with at the exit. Beyond greeting and receipt checks, you’ll conduct regular safety walkthroughs, monitor access points, and even perform after-hours perimeter checks using your personal vehicle. It’s a role that requires alertness, friendliness, and dependability in equal measure.
About the Role: Member Service Assistant
As a Member Service Assistant at Costco Quebec City, your primary focus is delivering a high level of member service while maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse. You’ll verify membership cards at the entrance, count incoming members using a handheld counter, and report foot traffic data to the Front End team. At the exit, you’ll check receipts for accuracy, address any member concerns swiftly, and thank each member as they leave. Every interaction is an opportunity to reinforce the welcoming atmosphere Costco is known for.
Safety is a significant part of this position. You’ll conduct hourly warehouse safety and security inspections, identify and correct hazards like spills, trip risks, and blocked exits, and complete detailed inspection forms reviewed by the duty manager. You’ll also monitor warehouse access, discreetly observe sensitive transactions, and conduct after-hours security checks from your personal vehicle. Attending warehouse safety meetings and communicating via 2-way radio are regular parts of the job. Please note that candidates at this Quebec City location must be able to communicate in French (oral and written).
