About the Role: Lead Web Solutions Developer
As a Lead Web Solutions Developer on the Cloud Support team, your primary focus will be designing and developing applications and tooling for cloud support. You’ll write and review detailed technical design documents, monitor and enhance the performance of applications and services, and partner with tech leads to build reliable, scalable features. You’ll also analyze customer and agent issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams across Google.
This is a full-stack development role spanning front-end, back-end, and integrations. You’ll interact frequently with global stakeholders to understand operational challenges and turn them into elegant technical solutions. Responsibilities
As a Lead Web Solutions Developer, you’ll own significant portions of the software development lifecycle — from design to deployment. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of tools used by Google Cloud’s support teams and customers worldwide.
- Design and develop applications and tooling specifically for cloud support environments
- Write and review detailed technical design documents to ensure architectural integrity
- Monitor and enhance the performance of applications and services on an ongoing basis
- Partner with tech leads to build reliable and scalable product features
- Analyze customer and agent issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify pain points and devise innovative technical solutions

Requirements / Skills
Google is looking for a technically versatile senior developer who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack experience, strong programming fundamentals, and the communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development
- 6 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, GoLang, or TypeScript/JavaScript
- Fluent English communication skills to support client relationship management in this region
- Experience with test frameworks is a strong asset
- Familiarity with CRMs and billing systems is preferred
- Experience managing software development projects and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Proficiency in machine learning, data analysis, and data science is an advantage
- Familiarity with data storage, retrieval, and analysis tools such as SQL, NoSQL, logs analysis, protocol buffers, and MapReduce
- Ability to work across the full stack including front-end, back-end, and integrations
