Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the backbone of the Dairy and Frozen department — keeping it stocked, safe, and customer-ready throughout every shift. From product rotation to food safety compliance, your work directly impacts the quality of the shopping experience and ensures customers find what they’re looking for every time they visit.
- Maintain department organization by keeping the Dairy/Frozen section clean, properly zoned, and customer-ready at all times
- Rotate merchandise regularly and check for expired products to uphold freshness and quality standards
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage by following established procedures for markups, markdowns, labeling, and flagging
- Adhere to cold chain and food safety standards including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper product handling, and sell-by date monitoring
- Support merchandising and promotional execution by maintaining department features and displays
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards by removing spills, debris, and hazards in compliance with company policies and Health and Safety guidelines
- Manage high task volumes efficiently during fast-paced shifts, ensuring restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory up to 20 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
